Divisional Inspector South.

Sir,

I have seen the Steam Launch KWONG HING in the

harbour and outside the harbour for the past year, and during the last few months have seen her towing regularly

between Hong Kong and SHA U CHUNG. She is a grey launch, with red funnel and black top, a bridge with Union Jack

painted on either side, and a red ensign flying aft. I have never seen this launch without these markings.

I stopped this launch about a week after the

Japanese incident, and the flags were still painted on the

side and the paint was not fresh.

There were also strips of canvas still adhering to tacks round the launch name on the port bow.

(signed) R.F. Olivier.

Sub-Inspector.

Officer in charge No. 1

Launch.
